Warren-Sharpe Community Center has been able to grow over the past 25 years to meet the needs of our community.  During that time, we’ve expanded our services from youth recreational programs to Leadership Development Programs, Summer Camp and After School, an extensive, client-choice Food Pantry, and of course, Green Sprout Urban Farm.

Your partnership with Warren-Sharpe Community Center is an investment in your business, and the economic future of Joliet, as well as it’s surrounding suburbs. Partnering with us connects your company to a network of thousands of supporters and potential customers. 

  • Our center and farm host hundreds of visitors every year.  Many visitors come from across three states to learn how to start an urban farm in their community.

  • We reach over 1,000 people each month through our website, social media pages and e-newsletters. 

  • We have a large and continually growing volunteer base made up of active residents in our community, including civic club members, employees of major corporations, parishioners of a dozen local churches, members of the Chamber of Commerce and local business owners like you.  All our supporters are extremely loyal to our mission; they are people who look for companies who share their values.

Supporting this local urban farm is also an investment in the health of our community.  We are trusted to bridge the gap between providing emergency food relief, and working toward food security for every family. Access to healthy food is not just a matter of nutrition; it’s a matter of social justice, and a matter of human rights. People who are empowered to produce what their community needs, instead of just receive -- these are people who become productive citizens and customers.

Your Business Partnership will be directly responsible to continuing the services Warren-Sharpe provided in 2016:

  • Groceries to 600+ households every month in food pantry,

  • Fresh vegetables for 40 families every week during the growing season plus 95 kids per week in the Summer Camp & After School programs,

  • Education on STEM skills, environmental stewardship, nutrition and healthy cooking/eating to 150 families,

  • Educational and recreational programs to 200 low-income kids.
